Dear Friends,
Please join us for the annual season opening of our summer exhibition!
from Fall to Summit
Reception: Saturday, June 21, 3–6 PM
Lisa Vollmer debuts Summit, from her Moving Scapes series—a five-panel black and white piece photographed in the Swiss Alps. Printed on Crane paper and suspended using a handcrafted cherry wood framing system, the work reconstructs a mountainous landscape through shifting perspectives. Glacial melt, waterfalls, and alpine trees merge into a newly imagined peak, with the Goldenhorn and Jungfrau as its centerpoint.
Sabine von Falken presents Golden Fall, captured at Iceland’s Gullfoss waterfall, and Divide, photographed in Þingvellir National Park—where the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates meet and slowly drift apart. Divide is layered with a 1929 Encyclopedia Britannica map of Iceland, creating an intersection of history and geology.
Additional works from von Falken’s Britannica series, as well as new self-portraits by Lisa Vollmer, will also be on view.
The exhibition will remain on view through August 2025.
We look forward to welcoming you!
